Christian Depression and Bipolar Bright Tomorrows offers an adult Christian Depression and Bipolar Support Group to men and women who: (1) have been diagnosed with a unipolar disorder (chronic major depression) or a bipolar disorder (manic-depressive disorder); (2) have a current medical, clinical and/or therapeutic care connection; and (3) are current with their medications. The first Thursday is an open-to-the-public Educational Seminar Night (7-8:30 p.m.) for support group participants as well as supportive and caregiver family and friends. Second through fourth Thursdays are our regular support group Share & Care Nights (7-8:00 p.m.).There are no 5th Thursday meetings. Tim and Nancy Reside are the teachers and co-facilitators of this group. They are not clinicians but rather “mental health consumers” who themselves have been dealing with a bipolar disorder in their own home since 1979. The program offers information, inspiration, education and support for the person learning to manage their disorder within the context of their faith. The program seeks to empower and equip the participant for living an overcoming survival lifestyle. Scriptural encouragement and prayer are utilized. Tim has completed 108 credit hours of study in Practical Theology, inclusive of 36 hours at the doctoral level, and holds an M.A. in Practical Theology. Bright Tomorrows does not endorse or recommend the use of any specific treatment or medication. For advice about specific treatments or medication, individuals should consult their physicians and/or mental health professionals. While all information is offered in good faith, each individual participant must assume personal responsibility for verifying the information shared. To check on cancellation or group update notices, Thank you for your inquiry.
